No elevated country indicator for Jordan in the route rules Sanctioni uses. That is not a clearance: goods may still be export-controlled, and parties in Jordan may still be on a list.

On the sanctions lists

16 entries on the official lists name Jordan — as nationality, address, registration or flag. That links them to the country; it says nothing about other companies there. The same company can appear on several lists and is then counted once per list. Individuals are not included — Sanctioni does not process them.

Jordan: logistics and trade

Levant transit country / gateway to the Red Sea via Aqaba

Jordan (JO) lies in the Levant between Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria and Israel and serves as the region's transit country, with Aqaba as its gateway to the Red Sea. Jordan belongs to no customs union but is widely integrated through GAFTA, the Agadir Agreement and free-trade agreements with the EU, EFTA (incl. Switzerland), USA, UK, Canada and Singapore; preferences use EUR.1, origin declarations or certificates of origin depending on the agreement. Customs clearance is electronic via ASYCUDA World of Jordan Customs (National Trade Window); import General Sales Tax is 16 percent (reduced 4 to 8 percent). The key gateways are the port of Aqaba with the Aqaba Container Terminal and the Multipurpose Port (operated by AD Ports since 2026) and Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) near Amman. The Desert Highway Amman-Aqaba and the corridors to Syria (Jaber/Nassib), Iraq (Trebil) and Saudi Arabia (Al-Omari) carry overland transit. Main exports are phosphates, fertilisers, textiles and pharmaceuticals; key partners are the USA, Iraq, India and Saudi Arabia. The currency is the Jordanian dinar (JOD), pegged to the US dollar.
